Our Story

I spent twenty years in the automotive sector. Throughout the first decade I started as a tire changer working up to an ASE certified Master Tech with a couple year stint as a welder mixed in there. 

While working as an auto mechanic I completed my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineer with a minor in mathematics and went on to work for some of the biggest names in the automotive industry starting as staff engineer, then principal engineer & finally Sr. Mechanical engineer.

I was laid off in 2021 at which time I found myself at a crossroads. Do I continue to lead a financially fulfilling yet emotionally draining and personally unfulfilling life or do I venture out on my own?

Leftwick Engineering LLC was founded in 2021 when I took a 3 month contract Sr. Mechanical Engineering role, within the automotive sector again, while simultaneously starting BBQ Boards, our first brand of our now handful of brands within our brand portfolio.

From early 2022 I have set a mission to deliver high quality, functional and practical products to the consumer market and the only office I now return to is that of my own company's.

I simply love designing things, taking an idea and making it reality is my passion. Mechanical design, in all forms, and large scale mechanical assemblies are my fuel.
